The non-negotiables:
- Within 5km of the hospital: for post-operative check-ups and emergencies
- 24-hour reception: someone on-site at all times, not just during business hours
- Standalone shower, no bathtub: getting in and out of a bathtub in the first days after surgery carries a real falls risk, especially when medication affects balance
- Safe, clean, and quiet: rest is the priority during recovery
Why Location Matters More Than You Think
All COS MEDCONNECT recovery hotels are in District 1 and District 3, Ho Chi Minh City’s central districts. This puts clients within a short car ride of the hospital for post-operative check-ups and keeps them close to cafes, restaurants, and delivery services for the quieter days of recovery.

What Your Daily Recovery Looks Like at the Hotel
Your COS MEDCONNECT coordinator checks in with you every day. Nursing support covers wound care, compression garment fitting, and medication management, so the clinical side of your recovery is looked after while you focus on resting.
Most clients stay around 12 to 14 days in Vietnam, with flight clearance given on day 9. The early days are about comfort and slow movement around your hotel. Once your surgeon is happy with your progress, short outings and quiet meals nearby are usually fine at a gentle pace.
