OUR PROCESS
Organising cosmetic surgery overseas involves a lot of moving parts. From finding the right surgeon to knowing what happens on the day you land, it helps to know exactly what to expect before you commit to anything.
COS MEDCONNECT coordinates every part of your journey, from your first enquiry through to your flight home. Here is how it works.
Here's what to expect:
1. Submit Your Free Assessment
Fill out the online assessment form and tell us about your goals, medical history, and any procedures you are considering. Your submission goes to your assigned surgeon, who reviews your information and makes initial recommendations based on what you have shared.
You will receive a personalised quote and outline of next steps within 24-48 hours.
2. Receive Your Quote
We will forward your information to the surgeon for assessment. We will then provide a preliminary assessment outlining surgical recommendations, estimated costs, what is included, any additional fees, the recommended travel period, and the next steps should you decide to proceed.
Your official quote covers the surgical fee and your coordination fee, presented as a clear line-by-line breakdown with terms and conditions included.
3. Online Consultation with Your Surgeon
Your consultation is conducted directly with the surgeon via Google Meet.
You will have up to one hour with the surgeon to discuss your goals, ask questions, and gain a clear understanding of the recommended treatment plan and expected outcomes.
The consultation fee includes up to two online consultations with the surgeon, should you require a follow-up discussion before making your decision..
4. Plan Your Travel and Accommodation
Once you are ready to proceed, we will assist you with planning your travel and recovery arrangements. While flights are booked directly by you, we provide guidance on travel dates, and important considerations when booking.
Visa assistance is included as part of all packages.
For accommodation, you are welcome to arrange your own stay or choose from our preferred accommodation partners. We offer a range of accommodation options to suit different budgets and comfort preferences, ranging from 3-star to 5-star properties.
5. Arrive in Ho Chi Minh City
A COS MEDCONNECT staff member meets you at Tan Son Nhat Airport and drives you to your hotel. Most clients arrive one day before surgery, and the car ride from the airport is when your onboarding briefing takes place.
Your coordinator walks you through what to expect over the coming days and answers any last-minute questions.
A welcome pack is waiting for you at the hotel when you check in. A copy of your Onboarding Information guide is included.
6. Pre-Surgery Medical Checks
On the day of your in-person surgical consultation, you complete a standard pre-operative testing at the hospital. This includes a blood test, ECG, and chest X-ray.
These checks are used by your surgical team to confirm you are ready to proceed and to finalise any adjustments to the plan.
7. Surgery Day
Your procedure takes place at a licensed hospital under the care of your surgical team. Hospital stays vary depending on the procedure performed and your individual recovery requirements. Most clients stay a minimum of one night in hospital following surgery, with some procedures requiring a longer stay.
Once your surgery is complete, your nominated contact person in Australia will be notified. Throughout your recovery, COS MEDCONNECT works alongside the hospital team to support you during your stay. While the hospital is responsible for your medical and nursing care, your coordinator remains available to assist with non-clinical support, daily check-ins, and any practical arrangements you may require.

8. Hotel Recovery and Daily Support
Following discharge from hospital, you will recover in your hotel accommodation with ongoing support from both the hospital team and your COS coordinator.
Nursing support during recovery may include wound care, compression garment fitting, medication guidance, and scheduled follow-up appointments, depending on your procedure and recovery requirements.
Your coordinator remains available throughout your stay to assist with non-clinical support, daily check-ins, and any practical matters that may arise. If you have any medical concerns during your recovery, you will be referred back to the hospital so your surgical team can assess you appropriately.
9. Final Review and Flight Clearance
Before you fly home, your surgeon conducts a final review to check your healing and confirm you are cleared to travel. The timing of this appointment depends on your procedure.
Once you are back in Australia, a follow-up programme keeps you connected with the COS team at key milestones.Ready to take the first step?
