Vietnam is becoming a top destination for medical tourism, offering internationally trained plastic surgeons, modern hospital facilities, and affordable pricing, often at a fraction of the cost compared to Australia.
With COS MEDCONNECT, your journey is fully supported from consultation to recovery, giving you access to safe, high-quality care in a well-organised, stress-free setting.
No. COS MEDCONNECT is not a medical provider. We are a trusted medical tourism facilitator. Our role is to connect you with accredited hospitals and certified plastic surgeons in Vietnam, while also coordinating every aspect of your journey, including pre-travel support, accommodation, recovery care, and more.
Yes. COS MEDCONNECT PTY LTD is a registered Australian company (ACN 684 251 983). We operate as a medical tourism facilitator, connecting Australian clients with qualified surgeons and licensed hospitals in Vietnam.
Our coordination team is English-speaking and Vietnamese-speaking. In Vietnam, our local support team assists with communication between you and your treating surgeons and hospital staff throughout your stay.
All surgeons coordinated through COS MEDCONNECT hold formal medical degrees and specialist training in plastic and reconstructive surgery. Full surgeon profiles are available on our surgeons page.
Start by completing our online Medical Assessment Form. This allows our team to review your health history and goals. From there, we’ll recommend the most suitable procedures and provide a detailed quote—all before any commitment is required.
To help us tailor your plan, we’ll ask for your medical history, past surgeries, current medications, allergies, lifestyle habits (e.g. smoking), and what results you’re hoping to achieve. We will also ask you to send photos of the area(s) you’d like addressed.
Once your deposit is paid, you’ll have a virtual consultation with your surgeon. You’ll then meet your surgeon in person in Vietnam, typically 1–2 days before surgery, for a final pre-op consultation.
Yes. While we guide you based on your needs, you’ll have access to detailed surgeon and hospital profiles to help you make an informed decision. All our partners meet strict standards for safety, hygiene, and surgical expertise.
Your health and safety come first. During the consultation process, your surgeon will ask questions and review your medical history. If you have an existing health condition, we may request a complete medical workup including previous test results and specialist clearance letters. We then forward these to the hospital and check with the treating surgeon and anaesthetist to confirm whether it is suitable to proceed.
If the medical team confirms you are suitable, you will then be asked to pay the coordination fee. If surgery is not recommended for you, we will let you know as kindly as possible.
Yes. All clients must be 18 years or older to undergo cosmetic surgery coordinated through COS MEDCONNECT.
Packages vary by procedure, but most include the surgeon fee, hospital and theatre fees, anaesthesia, pre-operative medical assessments, overnight hospital stay, accommodation for your recovery period, and airport transfers.
Full inclusions are detailed in your personalised quote. Visit our recovery packages page for accommodation options.
Items not included typically cover international flights, travel insurance, visa fees, personal spending, optional therapeutic treatments such as lymphatic drainage massage, and any additional medical tests required before or after surgery. Your quote will itemise exactly what is and is not covered.
Yes. COS MEDCONNECT has partnered with TLC (Total Lifestyle Credit), an Australian-licensed finance provider. Visit our payment options page for details.

If your TLC finance application is denied, you may be eligible for a refund of amounts paid to COS MEDCONNECT minus a $200 administration fee, provided you supply written proof of denial within 10 business days.
Yes. Most travellers will need a visa to enter Vietnam. Our team can assist you with your visa application process to keep everything simple and stress-free.
The hospital requests that all patients receive recommended travel vaccinations at least 4–6 weeks before travel, or at minimum, the latest seasonal flu shot. Please send a copy of your vaccination record to your COS MEDCONNECT coordinator before your departure. Check with your GP or travel clinic for tailored advice.
Tan Son Nhat International Airport (SGN) is around 25–30 minutes from the city centre. Most of our packages include private airport transfers, so you’ll be looked after as soon as you land.
We don’t book flights directly, but we’re happy to connect you with trusted travel partners who can help you find the best options.
Yes. Accommodation is included in most of our packages, with the level (3-star, 4-star, 5-star) based on your selected package. All hotels are centrally located and carefully chosen for comfort and recovery.
Yes, companions are welcome. We can include them in your accommodation arrangements, though some hotels may charge extra depending on their guest policy. Let us know during booking and we’ll help coordinate everything.
Most businesses, hospitals, and hotels accept Visa and Mastercard. However, smaller vendors may prefer cash in Vietnamese Dong (VND). The hospital accepts AUD cash directly. We recommend carrying some local currency for day-to-day spending. Note that QR code payments are widely used in Vietnam if you’d like to use this option, we recommend downloading the Moretapay app before you travel.
Yes, but standard travel insurance does not cover cosmetic surgery abroad or any complications. Make sure you take out a specialised medical tourism insurance policy that covers surgical complications and extended accommodation if your recovery takes longer than planned. Always disclose the full purpose of your trip when applying.
Your surgery will take place in one of our partner hospitals in Ho Chi Minh City, all of which are accredited and equipped with modern technology. These are full-service hospitals ensuring the highest standards of safety and care.
Only board-certified plastic surgeons with extensive experience perform surgeries arranged through COS MEDCONNECT. Each surgeon is thoroughly vetted and operates in a hospital-based setting with a dedicated medical team.
All procedures are performed under anaesthesia, so you won’t feel pain during surgery. Some discomfort afterwards is normal, but your care team will provide appropriate pain relief and monitor your recovery closely.
Most procedures include a 1-night stay in hospital, depending on your individual case. Your surgeon will determine the safest plan for your recovery before discharge.
After being discharged from hospital, you’ll recover in a hotel selected for comfort and rest. Depending on your package, you may also access therapeutic treatments such as lymphatic drainage massage or LED light therapy to support healing. Our team will conduct daily check-ins to monitor how you’re doing and address any concerns.
Most clients are advised to stay for 10 to 14 days, depending on the procedure and recovery progress. This allows time for pre-op assessments, surgery, aftercare, and a final review with your surgeon before flying home.
In most cases, you can fly 10 days after your surgery, once your surgeon confirms you’re safe to travel. Your package includes a final surgeon check-up to ensure you’re fit to return home.
Scarring is a normal part of surgery, but our surgeons use techniques to place incisions in discreet areas and minimise visibility. Over time, with proper care, most scars fade significantly.
Yes. We’ll provide you with detailed aftercare instructions and remain available to you after you leave Vietnam. If you have any questions or concerns during your recovery at home, our team is just a message away.
You will receive post-operative care and monitoring from the hospital’s medical team throughout your recovery period in Vietnam.
In the event of a serious or life-threatening medical emergency, the hospital will arrange transfer to an appropriate emergency department or higher-level medical facility if required. Your coordinator will also assist with communication and support throughout the process.
In some cases, yes. Combining procedures depends on the specific procedures involved, your overall health, and your surgeon’s assessment. This is discussed during your consultation. Not all combinations are appropriate, and your surgeon’s recommendation takes priority.
Your surgeon will provide a personalised list at your pre-operative consultation. As a general guide, most clients are advised to stop blood-thinning medications and supplements, including aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, vitamin E for at least two weeks before surgery.
Smoking and nicotine should be stopped at least four to six weeks before and after surgery. Always follow your surgeon’s specific instructions.
COS MEDCONNECT provides ongoing aftercare support after you return home. Your coordinator remains your point of contact for questions and concerns. If you experience a medical concern after returning, seek assessment from your local GP or emergency department first, then notify your COS MEDCONNECT coordinator. For non-urgent questions, contact us at hello@cosmedconnect.com or call 1300 163 821.
